The Yukon Human Rights Commission is excited to invite you to YOUR PART – A Conference on Building Community Capacity to Address Workplace Sexual Harassment.

This free, in-person conference is part of the Commission’s federally funded initiative “Towards a Yukon Without Workplace Sexual Harassment”. The Commission is four years into the five-year initiative to bring about a cultural shift on the issue of sexual harassment in Yukon workplaces. The initiative supports every Yukoner’s right to equal opportunity and the right to a safe workplace that is free from discrimination.

The conference will be taking place on March 2nd and 3rd, 2023 at Mount McIntyre Recreation Centre, Whitehorse, Yukon. Breakfast, lunch and snacks will be provided.

The conference will feature local and national speakers and panelists, such as Anna Maria Tremonti (national award-winning journalist), Crickett Wilder (Dawson Women’s Shelter), and Lesley McCullough (Yukon Legal Services Society’s Workplace Sexual Harassment Clinic). Gwaandak Theatre will be performing The Crows, a play by Anishinaabe-Slovene playwright Frances Koncan created to inform youth about navigating workplace sexual harassment. Please find attached our Conference Schedule.

This conference is for both individuals and organizations interested in addressing workplace sexual harassment in their communities. Register for the conference here. We encourage you to register as soon as you can to secure a seat!

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact the Commission.
