Registrar Tim Outerbridge of the BC and Yukon Courts of Appeal will lead a discussion about the basics of civil appellate practice in the Court of Appeal, including what counsel should think about when bringing and conducting an appeal and canvassing common procedural issues that arise during the appeal process.

Bio:
Tim Outerbridge is the Registrar of the BC Court of Appeal and a Deputy Registrar of the Yukon Court of Appeal. Prior to becoming the Registrar in June 2014, Tim was Legal Counsel to the BC Court of Appeal (2011-2014) and an Associate Lawyer and Research Director at Alexander Holburn Beaudin & Lang LLP (2006-2010). Tim has a JD from the University of Alberta (2004), an MA (English) from the University of Toronto (2000), and a BA (English) from McGill University (1999).
