Introduction to Creation of a Condo Development

Description: Leslie McRae, a Yukon lawyer and Registrar of Land Titles will present on the changes surrounding the creation of a condominium development as a result of the Condominium Act, 2015.  Leslie will take you through requirements for the developer; changes around surveys and the new Rules around the sale of condos — both for a developer and an owner of a condo.

Presenter: Leslie McRae is a long time Yukoner, having arrived in Whitehorse in October, 1980.  Leslie was called to the bar in Yukon and British Columbia in 2000. Since that time, she has practised residential and commercial real estate including lending and borrowing, and had a long career at NorthwesTel serving as their General Counsel, Corporate Secretary and Chief Privacy Officer.  Leslie was appointed Registrar of Land Titles in January 2021.

This CPD has been approved for 1.0 hours by the Law Society of British Columbia and may be applied towards the mandatory 12-hour Continuing Professional Development requirement in both BC and Yukon.
