Changes to the Enduring Power of Attorney Act – The Forms They Are A-Changing

Description:
This presentation will provide a brief overview of the Enduring Power of Attorney Act, inform lawyers about recent amendments to the Act, and introduce the Yukon Government’s new forms and User Guide. Emphasis will be on advising clients on the decisions which need to be made by individuals making an EPA. The Enduring Power of Attorney is one of the most powerful and commonly used legal tools available to individuals. Especially given Yukon’s aging and affluent population, even lawyers who do not practice in this area would benefit from a knowledge of the basics.
